Cucumber - Marketmore ECO

A popular and fast-growing cucumber variety that produces abundant harvests of medium-sized cucumbers with a good and appealing taste. The variety is a predecessor to many of today&#8217;s more refined cucumbers, which makes it highly talked about in common parlance. Marketmore is robust and fast-growing, and produces abundant harvests throughout the season. The cucumber variety is especially popular because it can develop even in slightly colder climates and has high disease resistance.
Marketmore is excellent for salads, as a sandwich topping, or for various types of pickling. Something we at Florea highly recommend for this variety is cheese gratin cucumber. All you need is:

<li>600g of Marketmore cucumbers</li>
<li>200g of white cheese (a whole piece)</li>
<li>1 pressed clove of garlic</li>
<li>A little rocket/arugula to top with</li>
</ul>
Cut the cucumbers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Then mash the white cheese and mix it with crème fraîche and garlic. Then spread the creamy mixture on the cucumber. Cut the cucumber into 4-5 cm long pieces and place them on a greased sheet or in an ovenproof dish. Bake in the middle of the oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. Perfect to eat as is or serve with fried meat, fish, or vegetables of various kinds.

Cucamelon - Mouse Melon

The Cucamelon  is a fantastic cultural heritage from 1866 and is actually a Mexican watermelon. With its enchanting small oval cucumbers with a sweet and sour taste, the cucamelon has become a great favorite in many homes. In addition to the wonderful green-speckled skin, it is also a fabulous climbing plant that looks very decorative in both greenhouses and on trellises.
The variety is perfect for summer salads, various types of pickling, and even for stir-fry dishes. A hot tip from us at Florea is to use cucamelon in tzatziki. The variety is perfect for that purpose with its sweet and sour taste.

Mini Cucumber - Iznik F1

A nice and delicate mini-cucumber for cultivation in a greenhouse, warm protected outdoor locations, or for indoor cultivation on a windowsill. The cucumbers grow to about 10 cm in size with a smooth skin and are resistant to powdery mildew. The variety is easy to grow and yields a rich harvest without needing to be pollinated.

A very interesting and unique variety where mature cucumbers are dried and hollowed out to be used as, among other things, sponges for washing, dishwashing or soap holders. The cool and natural sponge absorbs moisture incredibly well, making it a fantastic helper in both the kitchen and bathroom. The sponge cucumber also dries very quickly and is also very easy to clean. The easiest way is to just rinse it thoroughly and squeeze it out. It also works great to boil it or heat it in the microwave if you want to clean it a little extra.
