The mix is developed by us at Florea to fit extra well with the cut in terms of stem length, productivity and vase life. Tagetes - Vanilla F1

The Vanilla Tagetes is a lovely summer flower with a little something extra. The full flowers have a creamy white to isabelline yellow color, unlike the more common tagetes varieties. It is ideal for pot cultivation and is known for its special, slightly spicy fragrance. The flowers are edible and are often used as decoration on both dishes and pastries during the summer season. A breakfast tip is to dry the flower petals and then use them in oven-roasted muesli, both delicious and beautiful. 
(Deer and hares tend to avoid tagetes because of the spicy scent!)

It&#8217;s finally here &#8211; our amazing seed box from the 2024 Christmas calendar! A beautifully designed box with practical and spacious storage for your seed bags and garden accessories. The box is updated with a new design. If you already have last year&#8217;s seed box, they will fit nicely together. Inside there are compartments that you can adjust the size of to organize your seed bags in the best way. The box closes with a button and has handles on the sides so you can easily take it out into the garden. The box is made of FSC-labeled paper.

Poppy - Bread seed poppy

Bread Seed Poppy is an older poppy variety that can be traced all the way back to the 1750s thanks to its fine characteristics. The variety offers large, thin flowers in light shades of purple, pink and white, often with a darker stripe at the very bottom. The variety flowers on tall stems, which are often seen as beautifully floating in flower beds and plantings.
After flowering, round seed pods are formed filled with small and edible seeds that can be used in baking. A very easy-to-grow variety that also seeds itself easily and returns faithfully year after year.

Lacy Phacelia

An easy-to-grow, fast-growing herb that combines beauty and utility in every little flowering stalk. Honeyfacelia produces a sea of beautiful lavender-blue flowers. The finely lobed inflorescences unfurl like little spirals and attract all kinds of pollinators such as bees, butterflies and bumblebees in abundance. With its strong growing power, it covers the ground like a bright silk field while improving the soil. In fact, Honeyfacelia increases the soil&#8217;s moisture content because it is a green manure plant.
This deer-resistant plant is also drought-resistant once established and is therefore particularly suitable in places where irrigation is a little limited. It is also great to use as a cut flower!

Zinnia - Benary's Giant Salmon Rose

A fantastic zinnia variety with large, beautiful, dahlia-like flowers in beautiful salmon pink color. The variety is known for its long and strong stems, but also for its incredibly long vase life. Benary&#8217;s Giant Salmon Rose is also extra resistant to mildew and drought, which we at Florea really think are two big pluses.
This is a recurring favorite at the home of our founder Erik Hoekstra who usually co-planted Benary&#8217;s Giant Salmon Rose together with the palm cabbage Nero Di Toscana. Because the variety has very long stems, they weave in so beautifully with the dark palm cabbage.

Baby Blue is a charming eucalyptus variety with small, dense leaves in a soft blue-green shade that shimmers slightly in silver. Unlike varieties such as cinerea and silver dollar, baby blue has much smaller leaves and is therefore easier to place in bouquets. The variety can also be dried and looks very beautiful in eternity bouquets or other types of flower arrangements. This is a big favorite of Hanna Wendelbo who always grows baby blue at home. A clear bouquet favorite that produces plenty of beautiful eucalyptus branches that she uses extensively in all types of flower arrangements. With her we also find very large specimens as she always overwinters her plants frost-free and we are always equally impressed every time we visit her!

Cosmos - Double Click Bicolour Pink

A fabulous rose variety that produces large, beautiful flowers with a very unique and varied appearance. Most of the flowers are fully double, while some can also be so lovely half-full. Bicolour means two-colored and just as the name of the variety reveals, the variety goes in magical tones of pink and white. The variety produces abundant flowers, has sturdy stems that are easy to branch. It is beautiful as a cut flower, but also incredibly stunning in beds and pots.
This is our customer service manager Ulrica Cederlind&#8217;s favorite flower. Every year she grows Double Click Bicolour together with Cupcake Blush. It&#8217;s a hard-to-beat combination that will make any passer-by&#8217;s jaw drop!

The Sunseekers Salmon coneflower is a very popular and hardy perennial. This variety has a compact and well-branched growth habit, making it incredibly productive in terms of flower production. Snapdragon - Doubleshot Appleblossom

An adorable snapdragon novelty with open and double flowers in the colors apple blossom and cream. This bright pastel dream is enchantingly beautiful and has a very strong habit with sturdy stems. It produces abundant flowers throughout the season and is also suitable for use in smaller bouquets and flower arrangements. The DoubleShot series is particularly suitable for growing in the front of flower beds or in smaller balcony boxes and pots, which is great if the growing space is limited.
Our founder Erik Hoekstra always plants the DoubleShot Appleblossom at the front of his vegetable patch. This way, he can always pick up some vegetables and a bunch of snapdragons on his way to the kitchen. What&#8217;s more, the variety frames the vegetable patch beautifully and provides a flowery welcome beyond the ordinary.

Gladiolus - Chloé

A fantastically beautiful gladiolus variety in a dull old pink shade with small and beautiful hints of apricot and misty grey. This is one of our absolute favorites and a variety we find it very difficult to be without. The fancy flowers burst out bud by bud and leave no one untouched. Chloé is strikingly beautiful as a background plant in flower beds interwoven with other lower flowers or on its own in a fancy pot where they can take up a lot of space and be seen. It has long and sturdy stems that are excellent for cutting.
This variety is not only a favorite with us at Florea, but Chloé is also really popular with all our pollinators who like to flock around the fancy flowers.

A charming and stately gladiolus variety in a lovely pink case. The color of the beautiful flowers looks just like cotton candy and at the very end you can glimpse a light yellow streak. The stable and sturdy stems are perfect for cutting and the variety lasts a very long time in a vase. Le Belle Jolie adds both color and height to the flowerbed and is magical to have planted in a pot.
If we had to choose only one gladiolus variety here at Florea, it would probably be this one. When we saw the beautiful color of Le Belle Jolie, we all agreed that this particular variety had an obvious place in our range.

At Florea, we think this particular variety goes especially well with ornamental grass and sunflowers. Camille is fantastic to have as a background plant in a flower bed or in a larger pot.

Marigold - Ivory Princess

The marigold variety &#8216;Ivory Princess&#8217; is a stylish variety in various shades of creamy white. It can have varied flowers with different colors on the center disk, some will be light and some dark, but all petals have that beautiful creamy white color. It is very easy to grow and delivers plenty of flowers in different sizes well into the season and can usually handle a few degrees below zero, which is absolutely fantastic.
This is our cultivation expert Johanna Damm&#8217;s favorite edible flower. She usually uses these in summer salads or to decorate baked goods but her very best tip is to freeze in ice cubes. There&#8217;s no fancier way to present a drink, and the feeling of being able to serve ice cubes with &#8216;fresh flowers&#8217; during the colder months of the year is magical.(Ivory Princess doesn&#8217;t need a lot of space for its
roots and is therefore perfect for growing in pots and window boxes too!)

Tomato - Gourman Sun F1

The Gourmansun is the tomato with everything and more. It has the look with its heart-like shape and with its striped yellow-orange-red color. It certainly has the size, with fully ripe fruits weighing around 200-260 grams and producing plenty of tomatoes throughout the summer. It also has an incredible flavor and juiciness that not all tomatoes of that size have, which was one of the main reasons why it was chosen as a new addition to our tomato range. Great to eat fresh in salads or to use in cooking such as soups, stews or pickles of all kinds.
Another big plus for Gourmansun is that it has good resistance to diseases such as fungal attack and mold, something that is becoming increasingly common in our gardens today. It is precisely such characteristics that we at Florea cherish a little extra and have in mind when we select varieties for our range!
