Copper Image is a double-flowered tulip that shifts in colors of orange, copper, apricot, and pink during its blooming period. It is stunning in all colors, but our favorite stage is definitely when it transitions into copper. It reaches a height of approximately 35cm and typically blooms in May. It is also very beautiful as a cut flower.

Tulip - Avant Garde

Avant Garde is a relatively new variety in the market. It has a delightful creamy white color and can reach a height of up to 40 cm with strong stems. This variety is classified as a double tulip and blooms early, sometime between March and May. It produces large peony-like flowers that also have a fantastic fragrance. It is perfect for cutting and using as a floral arrangement.

Tulip - Aveyron

Aveyron is a double tulip in a vibrant pink color that can have small green streaks in white or green. It blooms early and reaches a height of approximately 35cm. It is a big favorite of ours, and we always bring in a few as cut flowers. It doesn&#8217;t go unnoticed in the garden as the flowers have a stunning peony-like shape.

Tulip - Apricot Pride

Apricot Pride is a &#8220;Darwin Hybrid&#8221; tulip, which means it has the characteristic large flowers and sturdy stems. It is a fairly unique variety that is not found everywhere, making it extra exciting. This variety blooms from April to June and can reach a height of up to 55 cm. The stunning apricot color combined with its majestic height makes it a big favorite for us.

This fantastic tulip mix was picked by our lovely finalists in our tulip competition &#8211; mother and daughter duo Bella and Linda. Together they got to stroll through the tulip fields and select their absolute favorite varieties and compose their very own mix of bulbs. The result was lovely both in colour, shape and properties. Our very own favorite mix, produced with an extra focus on color and recurring properties. As both Apricot Pride and Francoise are Darwin tulips, there is a high chance that these will return year after year. The long beautiful stems are incredibly suitable for cutting and give all plantings that little something extra. The soft colors harmonize beautifully with each other and together they create the ultimate tulip bouquet.

Mixing alliums and tulips is a proven recipe for a successful flower bed. The different onion flowers harmonize nicely together and give a floating and graceful expression with a stylish feel. We have chosen the tulip Apricot Pride and the allium Silver Spring to get a softer expression with that little extra. This delightful tulip variety changes color depending on where it is in the bloom. It starts in a magical antique pink shade and then transitions into magical copper tones. A fantastic double tulip that is incredibly well suited for cutting, thanks to its long blooming time and its varying appearance during bloom. Strikingly beautiful from bud stage to when it is fully bloomed, which makes Beach Berry a real bouquet favorite.
This variety is excellent to plant in pots and is delightful on its own or planted with other varieties in slightly rustier copper tones. A real tulip dream!

A beautiful narcissus novelty in a beautiful and shimmering pearly white colour. Beautiful long stems that stand for a long time in flower beds and in pots. A newfound favourite of our Anna Kubel who grew this wonderful variety for the first time this year in her inspiring garden. There it takes pride of place magically in spring both directly outdoors but also around in beautiful clay pots.
When the sun shines on Stainless&#8217; beautiful petals, they shimmer in a magical and unique way. Lovely, isn&#8217;t it?

Narcissus - Romantic Paradise

Let us introduce our latest addition to the Narcissus family, Romantic Paradise. With its light yellow petals and orange-colored center, this variety quickly became a favorite among us at Florea. The beautiful double flowers are excellent for cutting and are incredibly decorative in vases or other types of floral arrangements. It earns 10 points for the wonderful scent that Romantic Paradise also possesses, making the variety a pure delight to have in an indoor vase. This narcissus also faithfully returns year after year in the garden and becomes even more beautiful.
Did you know that deer and other wildlife don&#8217;t like narcissus? That means you can keep all your wonderful narcissus for yourself and you don&#8217;t have to worry about protecting them in any way.

Allium - Silver Spring

Among all the wonderful allium varieties, Silver Spring is undoubtedly our favorite. The long stems are perfect for cut flowers and produce beautiful semi-spherical flower globes in a white-pink shade with a black eye. Silver Spring can also be dried, making it highly decorative, which is a significant advantage for this variety. Even the buds, which are white and green, are incredibly beautiful to use in bouquets and flower arrangements. This variety is particularly known as a favorite for cut flowers and lasts unexpectedly long in the vase.
Silver Spring naturalizes well and is likely to return year after year. Deer and hares dislike allium, which means you can have your fantastic spring bulb all to yourself!

Allium - Gladiator

A tall-growing and classic allium variety with large purple flower balls. Magical in beds planted with other plants, where the graceful globe-shaped flowers take on an almost floating appearance. A recurring favourite that is not eaten by either hares or hoofed animals, which means that they can bloom magnificently in peace. With its stately height, Gladiator can grow up to 130 cm high, which is incredibly impressive in plantings but also in slightly larger pots.
(Gladiator has also received the prestigious Award of Garden Merit, which the Royal Horticultural Society only gives to plants that are particularly worthy of cultivation)

Tulip - Akebono

Akebono is the Japanese tulip that took our floral hearts by storm in the summer of 2023. An absolutely outstanding variety that immediately caught our eye with its elegant and, above all, unique floral splendour in bloom. Akebono means &#8220;bright sky at sunrise&#8221; or &#8220;dawn&#8221; in Japanese, and this lovely tulip owes its name to its stunning colours that gradually change during flowering. The variety initially boasts large, magnificent petals in a charming sunny yellow colour that gradually softens to a more creamy yellow. Akebono can also sometimes have a soft, pink brush-like streak on the outermost petals. The flowers are fluffy and full, and take on an almost peony-like appearance when fully open.
This tulip has a long stem that magnificently supports the large flowers, making it ideal for both garden borders and as a cut flower. Akebono is also highly regarded by florists and gardening enthusiasts worldwide for its incredible vase life, unlike many other double tulip varieties. Our cultivation expert Johanna Damm grew this variety this spring in several places in her garden and was equally impressed every time she put them in a vase. Many of the akebono bushes could stay beautiful for up to two weeks and sometimes more. To quote her exactly:
&#8220;Few tulips have impressed me as much as Akebono has done, it just got more and more beautiful the longer it was left in the bed. When it was as creamy yellow as only a tart lemon sorbet can be, I pick them and they stay nice for another two weeks&#8221;

Tulip - Apricot Copex

A lovely tulip variety that with its soft and pleasant appearance is so fantastically beautiful in all its simplicity. A triumphal tulip that goes in the old pink direction with warm hints of light apricot.
Apricot Copex is specially designed to be planted in pots or in places with less soil volume. A wonderful variety to plant on balconies, patios or in, for example, hanging baskets where the space is perhaps limited to smaller planters. The variety is also very attractive to put in front of other taller tulip varieties to give the bed a lovely dimension.

Tulip - Verona

Beloved Verona, a tulip variety that we at Florea could never be without. Among all the double tulip varieties, she is always the first to bloom, and how grateful we are for that. With her completely unique lemon-yellow color and full form, it&#8217;s hard to find words to describe her magical existence. An amazing tulip to bring indoors as a cut flower, not only for its appearance but also for its incredibly delightful scent. Verona actually smells like a wonderful combination of lemon curd and lemon sorbet, how incredible is that?
A true favorite variety for us at Florea, which holds a special place in our hearts and is a recurring guest in our gardens every year, thanks to its amazing attributes of color, form, and fragrance!

Tulip - Vogue

The tulip variety Vogue belongs to the group of &#8216;double tulips&#8217;. These tulip bulbs bloom for a long period. They are not very tall, about 35-50 cm, and stand on sturdy stems. Due to their shorter height, these tulips are less susceptible to wind. Vogue has thick, fully-filled flowers that can open up and reach a diameter of up to 10 cm. An amazing tulip with peony-like flowers that will be remembered for a long time.
Vogue is also excellent for planting in pots.

Tulip - Mystique Van Eijk

This tulip was added to our assortment in a classic Florea way; we were driving to a completely different place when we passed a field of Mystique van Eijk. A real &#8216;stop the car!!&#8217; moment.
We quickly fell in love with its beautiful color, the long sturdy stems swaying gently in the wind. We spent a few days with this amazing tulip, and it became a strong favorite. It held up incredibly well in a vase despite the warm temperature and less than ideal conditions.
The variety also belongs to the Darwin family, which means it has a great chance of producing side bulbs and being perennial.

Tulip - Palmyra

Palmyra is an early-blooming double tulip. It has a very dark, charming color that makes it a real eye-catcher in the flower bed. It has sturdy stems and reaches a height of approximately 30cm. We were particularly enamored with the dark color combined with its peony-like flowers.

Happy Upstar closely resembles its sibling, Creme Upstar, in appearance, but the most notable difference is actually the foliage. The leaves have white accents, which we found very charming. The flower is double and transitions from coral pink to a more creamy yellow color. A truly charming tulip.

The story behind this tulip is that when we were on an inspirational trip to Holland, we passed by a field of Salmon van Eijk tulips and hit the brakes because they were incredibly beautiful. It&#8217;s sometimes difficult to describe the color, but we would say it shifts between salmon pink and apricot. It grows tall and majestic, approximately 60 cm, and produces large, stunning flowers. It has a sturdy stem and is excellent as a cut flower.

This wonderful variety of tulip took us all by storm out in the fields of Holland. The pearly petals shimmered beautifully when the sun was out, and some of the flowers even transitioned into a light, enchanting pink shade. The best thing about this particular variety is that it blooms unusually long and holds up incredibly well in a vase. It&#8217;s the perfect cut tulip to use in both bouquets and other types of floral arrangements!

Creme Upstar is a late-blooming double tulip, flowering sometime between April and June, depending on the region in Sweden. It has a delightful creamy yellow color with pink undertones, making it truly unique. It reaches a height of approximately 35-40 cm. It&#8217;s no secret that we at Florea enjoy growing our own cut flowers, and Creme Upstar is perfect for a vase on the kitchen table.

Tulip - Francoise

Few single-flowered tulip varieties surpass our beloved favorite, Francoise. With its incredibly long and sturdy stems, we spotted it for the first time from quite a distance. The white beautiful flowers hovered slightly higher than all the others, capturing our curious gazes and immediately drawing us in. In all its simplicity, Francoise can be one of the most beautiful things we have actually seen.
It is a truly wonderful variety to have as a background plant or interwoven with other slightly taller varieties such as allium or the tulip variety Apricot Pride. It is also great for cutting due to its unusually long stems.
