Salmon Impression is a Darwin tulip in soft shades of pink and apricot. Growing to about 60 cm tall, it makes a striking statement in the garden. The flowers are large and egg-shaped, held on strong stems that allow them to last a long time. Despite their sturdiness, it&#8217;s a good idea to avoid planting them in overly exposed areas, as their height makes them vulnerable to strong winds. A truly stunning variety that quickly became a favourite here at Florea for the way it stands out in the spring garden.

The tulip ‘Callahan’ offers a wonderful color transition in shades of apricot, pink, and warm caramel. Its double flowers have an almost peony-like shape and open slowly—becoming more beautiful with each passing day. It blooms spectacularly from mid to late spring and pairs beautifully with other bulb flowers like narcissus and grape hyacinths. ‘Callahan’ is also an excellent cut tulip thanks to its stem length and good vase life.

Narcissus Thalia, also known as the &#8220;Orchid Narcissus&#8221;, is a classic and much-loved spring flower that was first introduced back in 1916. This elegant Triandrus narcissus bears up to five pure white blooms per stem, with slightly reflexed petals and a delicate, bell-shaped cup. The flowers are delightfully fragrant and bloom from mid to late spring.
Reaching a height of about 30–45 cm, Thalia is ideal for both garden beds and containers. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and looks especially beautiful when planted alongside other spring-flowering bulbs such as muscari and crocuses.

‘Watch Up’ is a beautiful and easy-to-grow narcissus (daffodil) with creamy white petals and a softly apricot-colored cup. The flowers have an open shape and are slightly upward-facing, making them perfect for bouquets. This medium-height variety blooms in mid-spring and looks wonderful planted in groups, especially alongside other spring flowers.
This variety is a big favorite of Hanna Wendelbo, who loves to include it both in borders and bouquets during spring.

Bridal Crown is one of our absolute favourites when it comes to narcissus. It features beautiful double blooms with an absolutely wonderful fragrance. This variety produces white petals with creamy yellow flowers. Thanks to its delightful scent, it’s perfect for use as a cut flower—ideal for a dinner table arrangement, for example. Bridal Crown reaches a height of around 40 cm and has been awarded the prestigious Award of Garden Merit, given by the RHS to particularly garden-worthy varieties.

‘Sweet Paradise’ is an atmospheric narcissus with creamy white petals and a softly apricot-colored cup that lightens toward the edge. This variety blooms in mid-spring and is equally beautiful in garden beds as in a vase on the table. It is easy to grow, medium height, and looks especially lovely in groups or alongside other light-colored spring flowers. A reliable narcissus variety that also has a delightful fragrance!

This is a well-known double-flowered snowdrop (Galanthus) that has been cultivated since the 18th century. It welcomes spring with its nodding, small white blooms adorned with subtle green markings. Flowering occurs from late winter to early spring, and the plant reaches a height of approximately 15–25 cm.
It thrives in well-drained soil in both sun and partial shade. This variety multiplies by forming offsets and reliably returns year after year—making it not only the very first sign of spring but also one of the most beautiful!

Galanthus - Ikariae

Galanthus ikariae is a late-blooming snowdrop native to the Greek islands of the Aegean Sea, first discovered on Ikaria in 1893. This species is distinguished by its broad, matte dark green leaves and large, nodding white flowers, marked with a distinctive green patch that extends over more than half the length of the inner petals.
It blooms from late winter to early spring and reaches a height of around 15 cm. Slightly less hardy than other snowdrops, it prefers a sheltered location.
This variety is a personal favorite of our founder, Erik Hoekstra, who handpicked it for our collection. In his own garden, it grows along the house wall and has become a clear sign that spring is just around the corner—and that brighter days lie ahead.

Allium &#8216;Party Balloons&#8217; is a vibrant and eye-catching ornamental onion that truly lives up to its playful name. ‘Purple Globemaster’ is one of the most impressive allium varieties we’ve seen at Florea—a massive violet flower globe that floats high on sturdy stems about 70–100 cm tall. With its dense, deep purple flowers measuring up to 20 cm in diameter, it creates an almost magical focal point in the garden.
It blooms in early summer and is stunning both as a solitary specimen and in larger groups. It pairs especially well with perennials like salvia or geum, creating beautiful color and contrast combinations.
Easy to grow and a favorite of pollinators, Purple Globemaster has also been awarded the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society for its outstanding garden performance.
