Together they got to stroll through the tulip fields and select their absolute favorite varieties and compose their very own mix of bulbs. The result was lovely both in colour, shape and properties. Blushing White Mix

Our very own favorite mix, produced with an extra focus on color and recurring properties. As both Apricot Pride and Francoise are Darwin tulips, there is a high chance that these will return year after year. The long beautiful stems are incredibly suitable for cutting and give all plantings that little something extra. The soft colors harmonize beautifully with each other and together they create the ultimate tulip bouquet.

Narcissus - Bridal Crown

Bridal Crown is one of our absolute favorites when it comes to daffodils. Beautiful double flowers that also have a delightful fragrance. This variety produces white petals with creamy yellow blooms. Its wonderful scent makes it perfect for use as a cut flower, such as on a dinner table. Bridal Crown reaches a height of approximately 40 cm and has actually won the prestigious Award of Garden Merit. This award is given by the RHS to particularly garden-friendly varieties.

Butterfly Ranunculus - Musa

The butterfly buttercup Musa caught our interest immediately the first time we saw the variety. So much so that we immediately started looking for it to be able to include it in our assortment. The fluffy leaves have beautiful, pink-rusty tones that become slightly lighter the more the flowers bloom. The eye in the center of the flower starts out as yellow and then darkens which is adorable.
Musa is incredible as a cut flower thanks to its long durability in a vase, which is also one of the big reasons why we like this variety so much. We love to mix Musa with different flower bulbs in bouquets such as tulips, narcissus and alliums or some beautiful sprigs of eucalyptus.

Hyacinth - Carnegie

Something I would like to recommend to everyone is to visit Holland during early spring and be met by an absolutely fantastic scent, namely the scent of hyacinths. With that said, why not try to recreate this at home? The hyacinth is in many ways underrated as it is not only beautiful, but also deer-resistant and wonderfully fragrant. We have two favorites in the range for 2023, namely this white variety &#8216;Carnegie&#8217; and an apricot-colored Gipsy Queen.

Amaryllis - Marylin

A popular and beloved amaryllis variety with large, silky white flowers. Marilyn is a double-flowering variety, which imparts an elegant and magnificent expression. It&#8217;s known for producing numerous stems and blooming for an extended period. Beautiful on its own in a pot or alongside other bulbs in a floral arrangement.
Thanks to Marilyn’s long stems, this variety is also outstanding for cut flowers. At Florea, we cut the stems and hang the amaryllis upside down with a silk ribbon. Water lightly inside the hollow stem and hang it in the kitchen, on a curtain rod, or in any other desired location. By harvesting the stems, the bulb receives more nutrients to produce new amaryllis stalks. Isn&#8217;t that wonderful?
The bulb blooms after 8-12 weeks. You can also influence the speed of the bulb&#8217;s growth by either keeping the bulb cool or with more heat. The warmer it is, the faster the amaryllis grows.

Crocus - Vanguard

Allow us to introduce the earliest bloomer of all crocuses, the delightful Vanguard. With its enchanting purple color that shifts in multiple shades, it creates a magical focal point wherever it is planted. When this wonderful burst of color emerges in February-March, it makes our hearts leap with joy. For us at Florea, it signifies the approaching of brighter days and the arrival of spring.
Vanguard is an easy-to-grow and reliable variety that all pollinators adore!

Crocus - Jeanne D'arc

Is there a more delightful sign of spring than when the crocuses start to bloom? Among all the beautiful varieties of crocus, the spring crocus boasts the largest flowers. Jeanne D&#8217;arc is a magical white variety that we at Florea instantly fell in love with. This white beauty is perfect for planting just about anywhere, whether in the flowerbed, a pot, or even directly in the ground. Thanks to its stunning color, all the newly awakened pollinators find it immediately, and the flowers quickly become a popular gathering place for bumblebees and bees.

Crocus - Blue Pearl

This enchanting variety of crocus is our absolute favorite. With its soft and unique color, it stands out from many other varieties. The sky-blue petals also attract all the newly awakened pollinators, quickly becoming a popular attraction for bumblebees and bees.
The amazing thing about Blue Pearl is that the bulbs readily multiply and together create a &#8220;sea&#8221; of beautiful light blue flowers. It&#8217;s an unparalleled sight in March when everything else is brown and gray. This variety is very easy to grow and reliable, as it returns year after year. It&#8217;s a must-have in the garden, if you ask us!

Peony - Salmon Dream

This fantastic peony variety has been around since 1975 and is a stylish cross between the popular peony varieties Moonrise and Paula Fay. The beautiful result of these two varieties led to large, semi-double peony flowers in a salmon-pink hue. The variety is especially known for its elegant growth habit, as it has leaves far down its stems, making it look truly magnificent both up close and from a distance.
Salmon Dream is also very popular due to its incredibly quick way of establishing itself in the soil and generally grows to a larger size faster than many other peony varieties. The variety also won an APS gold medal in 2008, which is an award that The American Peony Society gives out every year to the peony with the best qualities and the most beautiful appearance.
A true favorite among pollinators that looks beautiful as a cut flower and is left undisturbed by all deer!

Peony - Nancy Nora

Nancy Nora is a fantastic light pink peony that smells absolutely wonderful. When we walked among the peony fields in Holland, this was the first variety that we all stopped at, and everyone agreed; this one must be in our range. Nancy Nora grows to about 80 cm high and has sturdy stems, making it excellent as a cut flower. With its large, full flowers, we are convinced that you will also love this peony.
When you have received your bare-rooted peony, we recommend that you plant it immediately. It is best to plant peonies in the fall, but it is also fine to do it during the spring and summer. If the ground is frozen, we recommend placing it in a slightly larger pot until it is to be planted in its final location. Then store it in a dry and cool place. Read further down for detailed planting instructions on how to plant peonies.

Anemone - Mistral Rosa Chiaro

This anemone is tested and photographed by Florea&#8217;s Gardening Club!
Together with our Gardening Club we are launching this adorable anemone variety from Italy with a graceful and romantic expression. The variety produces large, beautiful flowers in the finest of pink tones. The Mistral series is 
known to bloom for a long time and this beauty is no exception. Rosa Chiaro is great for growing in larger groups where it can be either centered or positioned at the forefront of other plants. Our gardener Johanna usually plants this anemone together with zinnias and Switch Grass Fontaine, a dream combination!
(The variety is perennial, but we recommend winter cover for those who grow the variety in the slightly colder zones for the greatest chance of repeat flowering.)
