Wild Carrot - Dara

Beautiful Wild Carrot, one of the finest fillers we have in bouquets according to us at Florea. This variety has beautiful finely cut foliage and magnificent umbels that seem to dance in the air. Wild carrot flowers come in romantic colors of white, pink, and purple. It is also known as ornamental carrot and is equally gorgeous fresh as well as dried, which is why it is widely used in bouquets.
It is loved by all our pollinators and works magically in flower beds, plantings, and containers mixed with other summer flowers. A real favorite at Florea and a recurring feature in our gardens year after year.

Carrot - Rainbow Mix F1

A colorful carrot mix and a taste sensation beyond the ordinary. The fancy carrots come in orange, yellow, white, and purple colors, each with a unique taste that together creates a magical flavor sensation, but also very delicious on their own. Imagine a plate of oven-roasted carrots with this mix on a late summer evening in July? Or why not grill them and surprise your guests with a real summer fireworks display of colors and flavors.

Sugar Pea - Golden Sweet

A cool and flavorful cultivar that originated in India and was first cultivated around 1860. A unique and tall-growing variety that produces beautiful, flat pods in bright yellow color. The special color also makes it much easier to find the pods compared to the classic green varieties. Golden Sweet has cute little violet flowers that make the plant itself look very decorative when in bloom. 
The pods are good to eat fresh or lightly cooked and are excellent for wok dishes, for example. This is a favorite variety of our CEO Philip Eriksson, who usually fries them in cooking oil and chops garlic. Last of all, he adds a little salt and then the pods are ready to serve!

Beetroot - Detroit 2 ECO

A highly cultivable beet with beautiful, large, round, and smooth-skinned roots. The skin is dark red just like the delicious flesh. Equally pleasant boiled as well as pickled, and the young leaves can be used in the same way as chard since they are very tasty. This variety is suitable for so much, such as salads, juices, soups, and much more when it comes to food. We at Florea also want to share a cooking tip on this particular variety that we really enjoy. It is salt-baked beets with thyme and lemon butter. Simply magical!
In addition to being a very popular side dish to many dishes, it is also an incredibly healthy vegetable with many healthy benefits and properties. Beets contain, among other things, a lot of folic acid and alkaloids which together help to lower the body&#8217;s homocysteine levels which reduces the risk of heart disease. Beets are also rich in nitrate, which in the body is converted to nitrogen oxide. Many studies show that the molecule dilates and relaxes blood vessels which in turn contributes to a more oxygen-rich blood and lowers blood pressure. So, if you want improved metabolism, performance, and muscle function, Detroit 2 is the vegetable you are looking for.

This is Anna Kubel&#8217;s big favorite, she grows these a little everywhere in her kitchen garden. Preferably at the front of her growing boxes to make it easy to harvest quickly as she uses rainbow mix extensively in her summer salads.

Sugar Snap Pea - Désirée

A charming pea with elegant dark purple pods and violet flowers. Harvest them early as sweet peas and eat the whole pod. If the variety is harvested later, the peas should be sprayed like marrow peas. This means picking the peas out of the pod itself. So the variety has two uses, enjoy freshly harvested sugar snap peas at the beginning of the season and the spritzed peas in late summer.
This is Anna Kubel&#8217;s favorite pea, a must at her house. There it is allowed to climb wild on a trellis and adorn all summer salads and wok dishes.

Beetroot - Hula Hoop

A magical and colorful mix with several different beetroot varieties in the same package. A cool taste adventure and an incredible experience for both the mouth and the eye. This seed mix includes the varieties: Detroit 2 (red), Burpees Golden (yellow), Albina Vereduna (white), and Chioggia (polka-colored). Each beet and color has a personal, appetizing taste with its own unique touch. Together, they become incredibly decorative in dishes or as a side dish.
Imagine a summer plate of oven-roasted beets in enchanting colors with Chevré and honey, or a colorful fireworks display of pickled beets for hash. This variety is a special and incredibly fun growing experience for young and old, but perhaps it is most appreciated by our youngest. Harvesting the beets to see which color comes up from the ground is just as fun as eating the fabulous palette of goodies on the plate.

Rädisa - Red Impression F1

A cool radish variety with unique color and powerful flavor. The variety has a white to light green skin with an explosive cerise pink color on the inside. Incredibly flavorful and worth growing for those who like to eat radishes. Our cultivation expert Johanna Damm usually makes a more luxurious summer butter on this variety by grating the radishes in the butter together with cress and lemon zest!

Hollyhock - Nigra

A magical hollyhock in a unique dark purple color with beautiful green foliage. Outstanding in bouquets and incredibly beautiful in borders. An incredible flower variety that is loved by both humans and pollinators. With its late blooming, hollyhocks are also called the queen of late summer in colloquial language, an impressive title that this variety certainly lives up to.
A big plus for this charming variety is that it is perennial and blooms beautifully year after year.
Hollyhocks originate from China and the Aegean Islands to be more precise. However, hollyhocks have been cultivated in Sweden since the early 1600s but were first found in a wild form in Skåne in the 1800s.

Winter Squash - Uchiki Kuri ECO

With its decorative orange-red color and delightful taste, Uchiki Kuri is a great favorite. The variety is also known as squash, hubbard pumpkin, hokkaido, and giant pumpkin. The variety produces abundant harvests of pear-shaped fruits weighing around 1-3 kg. Even the flesh has a lovely orange hue and an enchanting nutty flavor. The variety is known for its long shelf life and outstanding storage properties. If stored correctly, the pumpkins can remain in good condition until summer and bring joy to the kitchen almost all year round. The flavor of the pumpkins is at its best after 2-4 months of storage. Perfect for pies or soups but also for pickling.
This amazing variety is magical when oven-roasted with herb oil or made into pumpkin puree. A perfect splash of color in the garden and on the plate when the gray autumn weather sets in.
This variety is also excellent as a decoration and ornamental pumpkin.

Cucamelon - Mouse Melon

The Cucamelon  is a fantastic cultural heritage from 1866 and is actually a Mexican watermelon. With its enchanting small oval cucumbers with a sweet and sour taste, the cucamelon has become a great favorite in many homes. In addition to the wonderful green-speckled skin, it is also a fabulous climbing plant that looks very decorative in both greenhouses and on trellises.
The variety is perfect for summer salads, various types of pickling, and even for stir-fry dishes. A hot tip from us at Florea is to use cucamelon in tzatziki. The variety is perfect for that purpose with its sweet and sour taste.

Dill - Common ECO

A pleasant medieval variety that is easy to grow and has a classic appetite-stimulating dill flavor. It is suitable for use fresh, dried, frozen or preserved. The variety produces a beautiful yellow and magnificent dill crown that is suitable for combining into beautiful floral arrangements. The variety is very popular with our pollinators and can serve as a lure in vegetable gardens or kitchen gardens. This variety is excellent for, among other things, stews, salads, soups, or with potatoes and crayfish, but also as a topping.
Dill is a very nutritious spice that has many positive health effects on the body, such as:
Promoting digestion Relieving stomach and intestinal problems Relieving respiratory problems Assisting with oral hygiene Anti-inflammatory properties And giving the immune system an extra boost
Dill&#8217;s beneficial properties stem from its incredible composition of minerals and vitamins. These include powerful monoterpenes such as carvone, anethofuran, limonene, and flavonoids such as kaempferol and vicenin. Dill also contains large amounts of vitamins A and C, making it a real super spice.
A big plus for this dill variety is that it is also organic!

Thai Basil

This variety has a spicy and strong flavor of basil with a small hint of anise. The plant has a beautiful dark purple stem with attractive pinkish-purple flowers. The leaves are used in many Thai dishes, usually fresh but also dried. In addition to the plant&#8217;s edible properties, the variety is also known for being used as an ornamental plant in pots and flower arrangements.
We highly recommend making a coconut curry with ginger, chickpeas, and Thai basil, or a refreshing herb lemonade with lime and Thai basil using this delightful variety.

Peppermint

A strong, powerful, aromatic herb with a minty flavor. The leaves are green and the small, enchanting flowers are purple. This variety is a well-known flavoring in sauces, tea, liqueurs, and confectionery. Peppermint also has medicinal properties and is used as a healing plant in many parts of the world. The variety contains large amounts of menthol, which is antiseptic and strongly antispasmodic, and helps to counteract inflammation.
Grilled rhubarb with peppermint, vanilla, and cardamom yogurt is a favorite dessert of ours at Florea and is often enjoyed many times during the summer season. This variety is also fantastic for making tea and is excellent in all kinds of mojitos.
If you place a pot of peppermint in your greenhouse or enclosed porch, it will smell absolutely lovely!

Onion - Noordhollandse Bloedrode

An amazing onion variety that can be used both as a salad onion and a red onion, depending on how long it stays in the ground. With a beautiful skin and a delicate taste, this onion variety is a clear favorite. The onions can become really large and flavorful but are also incredibly easy to store, which is a big plus. The range of uses for this variety is enormous when it comes to cooking, as it can be used both as a salad onion and a red onion. The variety is fantastic to eat fresh but also wonderful to caramelize or pickle. Another summer tip that is really tasty is to grill this variety.
Noordhollandse Bloedrode is a big favorite among us at Florea and an onion variety that we hold very dear to our hearts!

Radish - Saxa 2

An easy-to-grow and colorful variety with medium-sized decorative radishes that quickly yield a harvest. The taste is wonderfully mild and is perfect in salads. This variety is also great for roasting in the oven with a little parsley or chives. Radishes are very rich in vitamin C as well as most minerals and nutrients that the body needs. Radishes are also good for your liver, lower blood pressure, relieve urinary tract infections and strengthen the immune system of both adults and children. They can also cleanse the sinuses, relieve sore throat and can even aid digestion when eaten with potatoes.
Radishes are perfect to companion plant with other vegetables such as squash, cabbage or cucumber. This is because radishes are ready to harvest well before the other vegetables take over and spread. This variety is very well suited for cultivation in small areas and also works great for direct sowing in pots.
Did you know that the leaves of radish are also edible and that it is super delicious to make pesto from radish leaves?

Parsley - Frisé vert Foncé ECO

A nice curly parsley with a lovely classic flavor. Parsley is incredibly healthy, vitamin-rich, and also has a general strengthening effect on the whole body, especially on the liver and kidneys, and only 5 grams of parsley covers the daily requirement of vitamin A. Beautifully green curly leaves that are excellent for pickling or as a decorative garnish. This variety is also very easy to freeze.
Parsley pesto or garlic parsley butter are two real favorites with this variety. Or herb-roasted potatoes with fennel and curly parsley, really delicious!

Catmint

Lovely Catmint, a more beautiful edging and border plant is hard to find. This magical variety has a bushy appearance with lots of blue-violet spikes. Catmint has a grey-green foliage and blooms abundantly well into the autumn. A sun-loving perennial that creates magic in the border and returns faithfully every year. It has a magical scent so a tip is to plant it somewhere where it can be enjoyed often. Picking a stem of catmint and sniffing it is truly the definition of summer for us at Florea.
Catmint is loved by all of our pollinators, but most of all by butterflies who flock to this blue-purple beauty. A big plus is that even snails, rabbits, and deer leave this gorgeous variety alone!

Carrot - Nantes 2

A early and delightful summer carrot with cylindrical roots. The variety has a small core, a classic orange carrot appearance, and an incredibly delicate taste. An easy-to-grow variety that thrives in open ground and raised beds but also in heavier soils. This lovely variety also grows well in pots with good results, which has made it a popular balcony carrot. The variety&#8217;s long storage time makes it a very popular and well-liked variety that is often mentioned in common parlance and in various cultivation contexts.
The fantastically sweet and delicious taste makes Nantes 2 excellent for cooking and baking. Oven-roasted carrots with honey and rosemary or creamed carrots are two favorites with this variety. When it comes to baking with Nantes 2, carrot bread in a baking tray with pumpkin seeds and flake salt or a summery carrot cake with lots of Philadelphia frosting are two real favorites. The variety is also delightful to eat on its own or with dip. A carrot classic with a wide range of uses that will not disappoint you!

Carrot - Deep Purple

Dark purple delightful carrots with pointed roots and an enchanting taste. An incredibly sweet and flavorful carrot variety that is excellent for raw food, juices, salads, and stews. The taste is unique and the cool purple appearance is a big plus. Purple carrot puree, magical accompaniments to the grill platter, or purple carrot soup with a dollop of crème fraîche are just a few of the cool food creations you can make with this carrot variety.
This is a favorite among many of us at Florea and a variety we are particularly proud of. A purple beauty with an incredible amount of charm!

Lovage

Lovage is a delightful herb with beautiful aromatic foliage. The leaves can be used both fresh and dried, and give an incredible flavor to salads, stews, fish and meat dishes, but can also be used as a substitute for bouillon. A really good seasoning in stews, sauces and soups, but also in marinades.
A great tip is to throw in a few stems of lovage into the boiling potato water or to make herb salt with this variety!

Lemon Basil ECO

Nice aromatic green foliage with flavor and scent of fresh lemon. Excellent in salads, as a topping, with fish or in vinegar. The leaves are medium-sized and can be used both fresh and dried in tea which is a real treat.
We highly recommend making ricotta salmon with potatoes and lemon butter sauce topped with lemon basil, a clear favorite with this variety.
If you have lemon basil in the greenhouse, in the conservatory or on the windowsills, it smells absolutely wonderful!
(A big plus for this variety is that it is also organic!)

Winter Carrot - Flakkeese 2 ECO

An organic winter carrot with fantastic qualities in both taste and storage capabilities. Easy to cultivate, it produces large, flavorful carrots that can be harvested until the ground freezes.
An excellent carrot for both fresh consumption and cooking. It also works very well for baking, which is a significant plus. Thyme ECO

A popular, decorative and traditional herb. A beautiful evergreen shrub with lilac-pink sweet small flowers that both smell and taste delicious. Thyme is today one of our most useful spices. Both the leaves and flowers can be eaten fresh or dried in marinades, sauces, soups, vinegar, and tea.
We highly recommend adding a bit of this variety to mashed potatoes or spaghetti carbonara.
The variety is also very popular among our pollinators and a good attractant to vegetable gardens.
