Poppy - Bridal Silk

This elegant and stylish poppy variety is a big favorite of ours at Florea. Partly because it&#8217;s incredibly easy to grow, but also because it&#8217;s so beautiful. The beautiful flower petals are silky white, and sometimes you can even see a faint touch of the lightest pink shades.
Bridal Silk readily self-seeds, which means you often get more of these wonderful flowers the following year!
(This variety should not be eaten as it can be poisonous.)

Cosmos - Double Click Snowpuff

Let us introduce the cosmos of all cosmoses, the fabulous Snow Puff. With its unique appearance, this variety has taken all of us at Florea by storm. Snow Puff&#8217;s flowers are fully double, giving a fluffy and soft impression. The ball-like flowers are pure white, and among all the beautiful petals, one can glimpse a yellow center disk. The foliage is green, long, and dill-like.
Snow Puff is perfect for cutting and is magical in bouquets. It is lovely on its own or mixed with other wonderful summer flowers. The variety is also incredibly decorative in flower beds, where it blooms abundantly and magnificently until the frost takes it.

Snapdragon - Doubleshot Appleblossom

An adorable snapdragon novelty with open and double flowers in the colors apple blossom and cream. This bright pastel dream is enchantingly beautiful and has a very strong habit with sturdy stems. It produces abundant flowers throughout the season and is also suitable for use in smaller bouquets and flower arrangements. The DoubleShot series is particularly suitable for growing in the front of flower beds or in smaller balcony boxes and pots, which is great if the growing space is limited.
Our founder Erik Hoekstra always plants the DoubleShot Appleblossom at the front of his vegetable patch. Beautiful Wild Carrot, one of the finest fillers we have in bouquets according to us at Florea. This variety has beautiful finely cut foliage and magnificent umbels that seem to dance in the air. Wild carrot flowers come in romantic colors of white, pink, and purple. It is also known as ornamental carrot and is equally gorgeous fresh as well as dried, which is why it is widely used in bouquets.
It is loved by all our pollinators and works magically in flower beds, plantings, and containers mixed with other summer flowers. A real favorite at Florea and a recurring feature in our gardens year after year.

Mini Cucumber - Iznik F1

A nice and delicate mini-cucumber for cultivation in a greenhouse, warm protected outdoor locations, or for indoor cultivation on a windowsill. The cucumbers grow to about 10 cm in size with a smooth skin and are resistant to powdery mildew. The variety is easy to grow and yields a rich harvest without needing to be pollinated.
This variety is perfect for container gardening and does not require as much space for its roots as other cucumber varieties, which is why it is called the apartment cucumber in common parlance. If you have access to plant lighting, this variety can be grown year-round. Imagine how cool it would be to harvest your own cucumber in November or February when summer feels distant and longed for.
The variety is excellent for eating fresh, pickling, or using in salads.

The variety produces abundant flowers, has sturdy stems that are easy to branch. It is beautiful as a cut flower, but also incredibly stunning in beds and pots.
This is our customer service manager Ulrica Cederlind&#8217;s favorite flower. Every year she grows Double Click Bicolour together with Cupcake Blush. It&#8217;s a hard-to-beat combination that will make any passer-by&#8217;s jaw drop!

Cosmos - Daydream

An easy-to-grow and beautiful summer flower that blooms abundantly and magnificently until the frost arrives. The enchanting flower is white with a little pink near the center and the center is wonderfully summer yellow. Khella

Ammi visnaga is a beautiful and pleasant summer flower that is often used as a filler plant in bouquets and borders. It has been around and used by people since the Stone Age and is still used today as a medicinal plant. The leaves of the variety are green, finely divided, and dill-like. The plant produces beautiful lime-green buds that then open into magnificent white clusters of flowers. Ammi visnaga is an absolutely fantastic cut flower and lasts a long time in a vase. A big plus for this variety is that it also looks great dried and can thus decorate everlasting bouquets throughout the year.
It is easy to grow and very fun to cultivate. Ammi visnaga is also beloved by all of our pollinators and almost a must-have in the garden for those who like to create their own bouquets!

Cosmos - Cosimo Collarette

Cosimo Collarette (also called Apollo Lovesong) is a romantic rose with delicate flowers in white and soft pink. It grows nicely and fits well in flower beds, pots and flower boxes. It starts flowering early and continues abundantly until the frost comes. Easy to grow and full of charm, it is perfect both in the garden and as a cut flower in bouquets.

Watermelon - Tigrimini F1

A specially developed variety to be grown directly in the open field, unlike most other watermelon varieties that require a greenhouse, a glassed-in balcony or greenhouse, for example. Tigrimini can therefore cope in a sheltered location but outdoors even in a Nordic climate, fantastic, isn&#8217;t it?
The variety has slightly smaller melons but with explosive sweetness and taste. Fantastic to eat directly as it is or to use in a summer salads that need to be spiced up. Our garden expert Johanna Damm usually makes a starter of Tigrimini by dicing it into small cubes, crumbling Chevré cheese and then drizzling some creamy balsamic over it. Last of all, she adds a little salt and pepper. Simple, decorative and incredibly tasty!

Nasturtium - Bloody Mary

A colorful bush cress that has been awarded by Fleuroselect for its unique flower pattern. The striking flowers come in different colors of burgundy and creamy yellow with hints of marbling and stripes along the petals. The variety has semi-long vines that are ideal for pots, window boxes and hanging baskets. The flowers, seeds and leaves of the herb are edible and can be used as decoration in cooking. It also makes a tasty and spicy addition to salads and stir-fries, for example. 
This is a big favorite of Hanna Wendelbo, who likes Bloody Mary&#8217;s striking blooms when it comes to color!

Nasturtium - Milkmaid

A enchanting and renowned nasturtium with fantastic, yellow cream-colored flowers. A very popular variety that is perfect for trellises, balcony boxes, or hanging in planters. It spruces up the entrance, patio, or balcony and creates a summery oasis of floral magic.
The flowers of the nasturtium are edible and enchanting as a garnish in cooking, baking, and other fancy presentations. Imagine a summery ceviche on cod with avocado, strawberries, chili, lime, and red onion. Topped with a beautiful and flavorful flower from Milkmaid, incredibly delicious and beautiful at the same time.
This variety is a real favorite of ours at Florea and we highly recommend it!

Sunflower - Astra Rose

An unusual sunflower variety with a very unique appearance. The variety gets a beautiful, fluffy center in sooty tones while the pointed petals go in a little more in rose pinkish. Astra rose&#8217;s beautiful flowers start out creamy white and then transition more and more to the pink tones as it grows larger and more spread out.
This sunflower was first grown by us at Florea in Anna Kubel&#8217;s garden in the summer of 2024. There it adorned both the kitchen garden and the back of the greenhouse with its pinkish robe. Fantastic both in a bed but also as a cut flower in bouquets!
(The variety is branching and often has more flowers per stem).

Sugar Pea - Golden Sweet

A cool and flavorful cultivar that originated in India and was first cultivated around 1860. A unique and tall-growing variety that produces beautiful, flat pods in bright yellow color. The special color also makes it much easier to find the pods compared to the classic green varieties. Golden Sweet has cute little violet flowers that make the plant itself look very decorative when in bloom. 
The pods are good to eat fresh or lightly cooked and are excellent for wok dishes, for example. This is a favorite variety of our CEO Philip Eriksson, who usually fries them in cooking oil and chops garlic. Last of all, he adds a little salt and then the pods are ready to serve!

Beetroot - Detroit 2 ECO

A highly cultivable beet with beautiful, large, round, and smooth-skinned roots. The skin is dark red just like the delicious flesh. Equally pleasant boiled as well as pickled, and the young leaves can be used in the same way as chard since they are very tasty. This variety is suitable for so much, such as salads, juices, soups, and much more when it comes to food. We at Florea also want to share a cooking tip on this particular variety that we really enjoy. It is salt-baked beets with thyme and lemon butter. Simply magical!
In addition to being a very popular side dish to many dishes, it is also an incredibly healthy vegetable with many healthy benefits and properties. Beets contain, among other things, a lot of folic acid and alkaloids which together help to lower the body&#8217;s homocysteine levels which reduces the risk of heart disease. Beets are also rich in nitrate, which in the body is converted to nitrogen oxide. Many studies show that the molecule dilates and relaxes blood vessels which in turn contributes to a more oxygen-rich blood and lowers blood pressure. So, if you want improved metabolism, performance, and muscle function, Detroit 2 is the vegetable you are looking for.
