Tomato - Gourman Sun F1

The Gourmansun is the tomato with everything and more. It has the look with its heart-like shape and with its striped yellow-orange-red color. It certainly has the size, with fully ripe fruits weighing around 200-260 grams and producing plenty of tomatoes throughout the summer. It also has an incredible flavor and juiciness that not all tomatoes of that size have, which was one of the main reasons why it was chosen as a new addition to our tomato range. Great to eat fresh in salads or to use in cooking such as soups, stews or pickles of all kinds.
Another big plus for Gourmansun is that it has good resistance to diseases such as fungal attack and mold, something that is becoming increasingly common in our gardens today. It is precisely such characteristics that we at Florea cherish a little extra and have in mind when we select varieties for our range!

Watermelon - Tigrimini F1

A specially developed variety to be grown directly in the open field, unlike most other watermelon varieties that require a greenhouse, a glassed-in balcony or greenhouse, for example. Tigrimini can therefore cope in a sheltered location but outdoors even in a Nordic climate, fantastic, isn&#8217;t it?
The variety has slightly smaller melons but with explosive sweetness and taste. Fantastic to eat directly as it is or to use in a summer salads that need to be spiced up. Our garden expert Johanna Damm usually makes a starter of Tigrimini by dicing it into small cubes, crumbling Chevré cheese and then drizzling some creamy balsamic over it. Last of all, she adds a little salt and pepper. Simple, decorative and incredibly tasty!

Chili - Habanero Red

Habanero Red belongs to the group of the hottest chili varieties and reaches up to 350,000 points on the Scoville scale. The variety is easy to grow and produces green, slightly round fruits that change color to an intense red when they are ready to be harvested. The plant has a bushy growth habit and has beautiful, decorative, dark green leaves. The variety is excellent for drying and grinding as a spice for an incredibly hot chili flavor.
The strong flavor of the variety makes it perfect for chili stews of all kinds but is also well-known and popular to use in homemade salsa, chili sauce, and ketchup. A really hot tip from us at Florea is to use this strong chili variety for marinades, and it goes particularly well with meat and chicken. This variety can also be grown indoors all year round on a sunny windowsill. Use plant lighting during the darker months of the year to help it thrive and continue to produce lots of red chili fruits that you can pick at any time to use in cooking.

An incredibly cute and appetizing snack pepper with a lovely orange color. The fruits are small and the variety is compact, making it perfect for balconies, patios, or larger window sills with plenty of sunlight in a spacious pot. The charming and colorful color of the peppers makes the plant a delightful splash of color wherever it is placed. This variety is very popular among children, especially due to the size of the peppers, but also because of their sweet taste.

Beef Tomato - Marmande ECO

A French beefsteak tomato that can produce up to 200g of red, large, and elegant tomatoes. With its meaty and delightful flesh, Marmande is a definite summer favorite. The variety originally comes from France but is equally well-known in Italy, especially in Tuscany and northern Italy. It is often referred to as one of Italy&#8217;s most beloved tomatoes in the Italian cuisine and is even PAT-listed among traditional Italian varieties. The fantastic beefsteak tomato has also found its way into the English cuisine thanks to its incredible taste and has become a classic favorite in the Swedish cuisine as well.
Marmande is the ultimate beefsteak tomato for cooking, as it is magical in oven dishes, tomato sauces, and pasta sauces. The variety is also incredibly delicious to have fresh in salads or to eat sliced on bread with a little salt. A definite summer favorite, in other words!

Winter Squash - Uchiki Kuri ECO

With its decorative orange-red color and delightful taste, Uchiki Kuri is a great favorite. The variety is also known as squash, hubbard pumpkin, hokkaido, and giant pumpkin. The variety produces abundant harvests of pear-shaped fruits weighing around 1-3 kg. Even the flesh has a lovely orange hue and an enchanting nutty flavor. The variety is known for its long shelf life and outstanding storage properties. If stored correctly, the pumpkins can remain in good condition until summer and bring joy to the kitchen almost all year round. The flavor of the pumpkins is at its best after 2-4 months of storage. Artichoke - Green Globe

An incredible cultural heritage from 1863. A beautiful delicacy known for its fantastic taste and grown today in many parts of the world. The small artichokes are magical when pan-fried with butter and served with a little aioli. The larger artichokes are fantastic when baked in the oven with feta cheese and a little parsley, but also boiled and enjoyed with just a little butter as a side dish. This is a big favorite among our staff at Florea and a recurring variety in our gardens.
This friendly artichoke is just as nice to eat as it is to decorate bouquets or beds with. The variety produces magnificent purple flowers that smell wonderful, which is why it is often seen in many gardens and plantings. Green Globe is also incredibly popular with all of our pollinators, especially butterflies. A must-have in the garden, simply put!

Tomato - Noire de Crimée

An early, flavorful tomato variety that produces delicious, meaty, and sweet fruits. Initially, the tomatoes are black-green and gradually turn into a reddish-brown shade as they ripen. The variety produces abundant harvests throughout the season. An incredible taste experience beyond the ordinary and equally amazing to eat as well as to behold with just the eye.

Cherry Tomato - Dattorange F1

Such a new variety for us that we only tasted it at our supplier&#8217;s last summer. We were completely taken by the incredible taste and immediately felt that this was a variety we simply had to include in our assortment. The flavor is wonderfully sweet, and we were all charmed on the spot by this fantastic variety. The cherry tomatoes have a cool and tropical orange color and are just as delicious fresh as they are dried when they get an appetizing raisin flavor.
Since this variety is so new to the market, all of us in the Florea team will be growing it this summer. But because we all ate Dattorange F1 cherry tomatoes like candy, this variety already feels like a real winner!

Sweet Corn - Golden Bantam ECO

A nice classic corn variety believed to have existed since 1902. One of the sweetest standard varieties and also one of the few that still exists today and is still grown. The variety produces long, delicate, golden-brown ears. The ears are about 15-18 cm long with 8 rows of wide kernels.
The variety is great for grilling or boiling and eating with butter. Chili-stewed corn or a delicious corn salsa with cilantro and lime for taco night, these are two wonderful side dishes that this variety is excellent for. The variety is also suitable for use in stews or for making soup thanks to its sweet taste.
In other words, Golden Bantam is a reliable and proven variety with a fantastic taste that adds a golden touch to cooking. An old favorite with a long history and a sure bet!

Pepper - Yellow California Wonder

A well-known, popular, and pleasant pepper variety that produces large, delicious golden-yellow fruits. The fruits are thick-walled with a crispy, fresh, and tasty flesh. The flavor is sweet and delicate, which makes the variety excellent for both fresh and cooked use.
Yellow California Wonder is a fantastically pleasant variety to use in cooking, so at Florea, we want to share our two favorite recipes with this variety. The first is a yellow and spicy pepper soup topped with crispy pancetta. The second tip is a yellow pepper gazpacho served with crispy bread croutons and a little fresh oregano, both colorful and tasty at the same time.

Thai Basil

This variety has a spicy and strong flavor of basil with a small hint of anise. The plant has a beautiful dark purple stem with attractive pinkish-purple flowers. Pepper - Yolo Wonder

A pleasant and flavorful pepper variety with a firm skin and thick flesh, Yolo Wonder is an improvement of the classic and well-known California Wonder. They start out dark green and turn bright red when fully ripe, although they can be eaten at both stages. The variety yields abundant harvests of fine 3-4 chambered fruits and is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus.
The flavor of the peppers is sweet and delicious, making the variety suitable for a wide range of dishes. Basil - Italiano Classico ECO

An appealing and flavorful salad basil that has found its way into many homes due to its delicious taste. This is a taller variety that has large leaves and is specially adapted to grow outdoors, in balcony boxes and pots. The large, green, delicate leaves are excellent in pesto, as a topping, and in various types of salads. In addition to the sweet, edible leaves, the light purple, beautiful flower spikes are also edible.
Basil is not only delicious to eat but also a very healthy herb. It is good for the skin, good for the stomach, anti-inflammatory, reduces stress, and detoxifies the body. Garlic Chives ECO

An exciting herb seasoning similar to chives but with a light and fresh garlic flavor. Fantastic in cooking, as a topping or in salads. Unlike the classic chives, Chinese chives have flatter and coarser leaves. The taste is very similar to the classic chives but leans more towards garlic. The variety produces white fairy-tale-like flowers that work great as a lure for all our pollinators. Besides being beautiful to behold, the flowers are also edible and taste great on sandwiches, in salads, or as a garnish. Imagine a summer toast Skagen topped with white flowers from Chinese chives, magical!
Chinese chives are also a nutritious herb that is incredibly rich in many minerals such as iodine, iron, and calcium. It also contains vitamins A and C, as well as a relatively high fiber content.
