Rilona is a very unique and sought-after amaryllis variety with large apricot-coloured flowers. The variety has very long stems, which is one of the many reasons why Rilona is such a popular cut flower. It lasts an unusually long time in a vase and usually blooms a little longer than many other varieties, which we at Florea fell for.

This amaryllis variety is Anna Kubel’s great favourite and during November-January we see it in various flower arrangements at her home. Co-planted with other bulbs or in a larger vase. A fabulous amaryllis that with its apricot-coloured flowers really has that little extra.

The bulb flowers after 8-12 weeks. You can also influence the speed of the bulb’s growth by either keeping it in a cool place or with more heat. The warmer it is, the faster the amaryllis will grow.
