Narcissus Thalia, also known as the “Orchid Narcissus”, is a classic and much-loved spring flower that was first introduced back in 1916. This elegant Triandrus narcissus bears up to five pure white blooms per stem, with slightly reflexed petals and a delicate, bell-shaped cup. The flowers are delightfully fragrant and bloom from mid to late spring.

Reaching a height of about 30–45 cm, Thalia is ideal for both garden beds and containers. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and looks especially beautiful when planted alongside other spring-flowering bulbs such as muscari and crocuses.

Choosing organic bulbs is not only good for your garden, but also for the environment. Organic cultivation means no chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are used, which helps protect pollinators like bees and butterflies and supports healthy soil. It also contributes to a toxin-free environment and promotes biodiversity. At present, there are still relatively few organic varieties available, but it’s something we at Florea are actively working to expand in our range. We believe that small choices in the garden can make a big difference, for nature and for the future.

(Not favoured by deer or other animals, which means it can bloom in peace!)

    Perennial flower bulbs

Do we have perennial flower bulbs, and how does it work?

All tulips in our assortment can bloom for multiple years if given the right conditions. Normally, we usually say that they are one-year bloomers, so if they bloom for several years, it's just a bonus. This applies to almost all tulips. No tulip is truly perennial; instead, what happens is that if you provide the tulip bulb with the right conditions, it will form a new side bulb during the flowering period, which will bloom the following year.

However, daffodils are usually recurring. They are a safer choice if you want recurring blooms. Most daffodil varieties also have the pleasant characteristic of spreading and multiplying!
