Narcissus - Flower Bulbs

Narcissus, often called daffodil or Easter lily, is a fantastic flower that comes in many different shapes and forms. From single flowers to double flowers, early varieties to late varieties, white, yellow, or white and yellow. Narcissus bulbs are planted in the autumn and bloom in April. The beauty of narcissus is that they always bloom a little before tulips, making them the first true sign of spring. Another positive characteristic of narcissus is that deer do not touch them, which is extremely satisfying for those who know it.

Narcissus can also be planted in a pot as they are hardy, but try to choose a well-insulated pot or place it in a sheltered spot.

Narcissus bulbs require slightly more nutrients than other bulbs, so if possible, try to provide them with some extra fertilization or plant them in nutrient-rich soil. Speaking of soil, narcissus and other flower bulbs thrive best in well-draining soil. This means they are a bit more sensitive to moisture or stagnant water, so ensure that any excess water has somewhere to drain.
