Allium ‘Party Balloons’ is a vibrant and eye-catching ornamental onion that truly lives up to its playful name. With its large, round, purple flower heads that resemble floating balloons, it brings both structure and whimsy to the garden. The blooms are held on tall, elegant stems reaching about 50–70 cm, creating an airy and stylish presence in borders and mixed plantings.

It flowers in early summer and is highly attractive to pollinators. One of our favorite tips at Florea is to pair ‘Party Balloons’ with ornamental grasses and catmint—a dreamy combination!

Ornamental onions from the Allium genus are a splendid addition to the garden. The spherical flower heads rest on tall, sturdy stems. Each flower ball is composed of many small, star-shaped flowers. Allium is both easy to grow and winter-hardy. Additionally, they multiply, resulting in more flowers in the garden each year.

Florea offers quality garden products - with a focus on seeds, flower bulbs and tubers. The company was founded in 2020 by Erik Hoekstra, son of Johannes Hoekstra and grandson of Georg Hoekstra, and stems from a long family tradition.

Quality and satisfied customer guarantee. To always be able to guarantee the quality of our seeds, we regularly conduct a number of tests. Germination tests are conducted in laboratories and in test cultivations. In the laboratory, we also test purity - which is important to ensure high quality. All our tests are carried out according to the ISTA international standard.
