A popular and well-known spring onion with long, silvery-white stems and beautiful light green leaves. The variety has a mild and appetizing flavor that is excellent in salads, for example. White Lisbon is known for its long storage time after being harvested. If the onion is left in the soil for a longer period of time, a white, round onion is formed which is also very flavorful.
We at Florea warmly recommend making a pesto with this delicate variety. All you need is 1 bunch of spring onions, 2 dl of roasted sunflower seeds, 60 g of parmesan cheese, 2 dl of olive oil, 1 clove of fresh garlic, and some salt. Incredibly easy and really tasty!
Did you know that grilling spring onions is also very tasty?
