Physalis

Physalis peruviana

An amazing berry with a captivating growth pattern. The variety features velvety green leaves and sweet, small, yellow trumpet-like flowers with a black crown near the center. Physalis produces juicy, small orange-yellow fruits with a protective husk that changes color during the ripening process. Initially green, they eventually reach a yellow-beige hue when mature and ready to be harvested.

The berries are magical to eat on their own but also perfect as garnishes for desserts and pastries. We at Florea would like to suggest making a delicious cheesecake with amarula and physalis jelly. A fabulous and summery dessert both in appearance and taste!
