Aubergine - Black Beauty ECO

Solanum Melongena

An incredibly and magically preserved cultural heritage from 1902. A charming eggplant variety with fabulous large oval-shaped purple-black fruits. This variety is very reliable, vigorous, and easy to grow. The plant is also very decorative with its green charming velvety-colored leaves. The flesh is white and firm with an incredibly delicious taste. The variety is great for grilling or using in dips, stews, and casseroles.

The fibers in eggplant take up a lot of space in the stomach and make us feel full for longer. This makes the eggplant an incredible resource in many households around the world. The variety also contains high levels of B vitamins, water, and minerals but also helps keep cholesterol levels in check.

Many people know that eggplant is a very useful vegetable in the kitchen, and at Florea, it’s a recurring favorite in the kitchen. Therefore, we want to share some of our favorite recipes for Black Beauty with you. Mozzarella-gratinated eggplant with pesto, grilled eggplant with feta salsa, and sourdough toast with eggplant, tomato, and parmesan.

This variety is also organic!
