This fantastic peony variety has been around since 1975 and is a stylish cross between the popular peony varieties Moonrise and Paula Fay. The beautiful result of these two varieties led to large, semi-double peony flowers in a salmon-pink hue. The variety is especially known for its elegant growth habit, as it has leaves far down its stems, making it look truly magnificent both up close and from a distance.

Salmon Dream is also very popular due to its incredibly quick way of establishing itself in the soil and generally grows to a larger size faster than many other peony varieties. The variety also won an APS gold medal in 2008, which is an award that The American Peony Society gives out every year to the peony with the best qualities and the most beautiful appearance.
