Beef Tomato - Marmande ECO

Solanum Lycopersicum

A French beefsteak tomato that can produce up to 200g of red, large, and elegant tomatoes. With its meaty and delightful flesh, Marmande is a definite summer favorite. The variety originally comes from France but is equally well-known in Italy, especially in Tuscany and northern Italy. It is often referred to as one of Italy’s most beloved tomatoes in the Italian cuisine and is even PAT-listed among traditional Italian varieties. The fantastic beefsteak tomato has also found its way into the English cuisine thanks to its incredible taste and has become a classic favorite in the Swedish cuisine as well.

Marmande is the ultimate beefsteak tomato for cooking, as it is magical in oven dishes, tomato sauces, and pasta sauces. The variety is also incredibly delicious to have fresh in salads or to eat sliced on bread with a little salt. A definite summer favorite, in other words!

The variety is tall-growing and is resistant to Fusarium and Verticillium diseases.
